Member Identifiable Information

   Protecting privacy is not a new endeavor for nismo.org. Nismo.org has a long-standing tradition of recognizing and protecting the privacy of members who use its communications networks. The company maintains strict member information privacy policies and uses state of the art technologies to safeguard member information and communications from unauthorized intrusions.

Nismo.org  recognizes that the growth of online services, including Internet services, has created additional privacy concerns.

Online privacy concerns focus on the protection of "member identifiable" information which an individual or other member reasonably expects to be kept private. As the term suggests, "member identifiable" information is information which can be associated with a specific individual or entity, including, for example, a member’s name, address, or telephone number, e-mail address, and information about online activities that are directly linked to them.

 

Nismo.org’s Online Privacy Policy: Informed Choice

Nismo.org has put in place the following Online Privacy Policy to protect member identifiable information. This policy covers Nismo.org and its subsidiaries, except as follows, and applies to all member identifiable information that Nismo.org obtains when a customer registers for or uses a Nismo.org online service, including visiting a Nismo.org owned and controlled web site ("Nismo.org Web Site").

 

Nismo.org protects online member identifiable information as follows:

Disclosure. Nismo.org will not sell, trade, or disclose to third parties any member identifiable information derived from the registration for or use of a Nismo.org online service -- including  names and addresses -- without the consent of the members (except as required by subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process or in the case of imminent physical harm to the memberr or others). When Nismo.org uses other agents, contractors or companies to perform services on its behalf, Nismo.org will ensure that the company protects your customer identifiable information consistent with this Policy. If Nismo.org includes your name and any other customer identifiable information in a directory that Nismo.org creates from information we receive as an online service provider, the company will give you the opportunity to have your information excluded from that directory. Business directories that Nismo.org creates may, however, contain information obtained from other sources.

Security. Nismo.org has implemented technology and security features and strict policy guidelines to safeguard the privacy of your member identifiable information from unauthorized access or improper use, and we will continue to enhance our security procedures as new technology becomes available.

Improper Conduct. Nismo.org may also use member identifiable information to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful activity or activity that threatens the club, members or otherwise violates the member agreement.

Member Information. Nismo.org honors requests from members for member information, for example, name, address, or phone number, and will correct any such information which may be inaccurate. Members may verify that appropriate corrections have been made.

Changes in Practices. Nismo.org will keep this Policy current. Nismo.org   will inform you of any changes that we make.
